In Lucknow's apartment societies, the most common moving-day delay is not traffic. It is a guard at the gate waiting for permission. Sorting these things out a week ahead avoids it.
Moving out
- No-dues certificate or NOC: many societies want maintenance and utility dues cleared before goods leave.
- Gate pass for goods: the society office issues a pass listing that household goods are leaving.
- Lift booking: book the service lift for the day and time.
Moving in
- Move-in registration: owners and tenants register with the society office, often with ID and agreement copies.
- Moving hours: many societies allow moves only between set hours, and not on some holidays.
- Truck entry: large trucks may need to park outside or at a loading bay.
- Deposit: some societies take a refundable deposit against damage to lifts and common areas.
Tenant verification
If you are renting, police verification of tenants is required. In Uttar Pradesh this can be done through the UP Police citizen services (the UPCOP app or website) or at the local police station.
How we help
Share the society office's number with us and we coordinate the lift booking, timings and gate entry. Our crew carries IDs and the vehicle's papers for gate checks.
